Valley Fair!

Register now for VSAM's Valley Fair Day! Anyone and EVERYONE is welcome to come along with us! You do NOT have to be a VSAM member! Just come and enjoy a day at Valley Fair.

When: August 9th @ 9:00 AM

If you register, tickets will be TWENTY-THREE dollars each! It is much cheaper than the price of admission at the booth, so don't hesitate and register below NOW! After you register, check your email for a Google checkout to pay for your ticket. On August 9th, meet us at "Dinky Town" McDonalds(Corner of 15th and University) at 9:00AM. From McDonalds, head over to Valley Fair WITH US. Tickets will be distributed at Valley Fair!

Summer Festival 2008

The Vietnamese Community of Minnesota aims to educate and present the public a better understanding of the Vietnamese cultures through various activities and showcase organizations that exist within our local community in Minnesota. VSAM 2008-2009 Registration Form

If you wish to be inform on VSAM's 2008-2009 school year news, activities, events, etc, please fill the VSAM Registration Form. This is an anual renewal form all members and interested individuals must fill out so their contact information will be added to VSAM's contact database. Vietnamese Arts & cultural Project

Are you interested in taking dance classes, dragon dancing, and martial arts? The Vietnamese Community of Minnesota is collaborating with Hung Vuong Association and Me Linh Dancing Group to launch the Vietnamese Arts and Cultural Project. The Project provides cultural opportunities for Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese children and youth, to learn more Vietnamese cultures and arts through weekly, ongoing classes.

This project is funded by the Cultural STAR grant from the City of St. Paul. The grant enables the organization to pay for rent, instructors, supplies, marketing, equipments, etc. The program will be held at West Minnehaha Recreational Center located at 685 W. Minnehaha Ave, Saint Paul, MN 55104 every Sundays from 2pm to 4pm.

This program will allow us to admit any interested students regardless of their ethnic backgrounds, age, gender or ability. It is free for everyone and parents are encouraged to bring their kids to the program to get an enriched experience learning about the Vietnamese arts and culture.

The Project aims to promote the Vietnamese cultures and arts not only within the Vietnamese community but with other communities. We hope that this Project will foster positive relationships between the Vietnamese community and other communities. VSAM's Annual SUMMER RETREAT!!!!

Once a year, VSAM goes on a retreat and it's here!!

Starts on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 4:00pm
Ends on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at 10:00am
Location: Mielke's Fun at the Lakes
City/Town: Emily, MN

This year we have a lodge in Emily, Minnesota and 40 spots to fill! The retreat is fun-filled and a great way to start off the summer, not to mention a great time to bond as a group!

Can't wait to see you there! RSVP to daoxx025@umn.edu as soon as possible to reserve your spot (current and upcoming board members are given priority). The cost is $40 a person, which includes food and supplies.
